Loquere veritatem cum amore. This is Latin for “speak the truth with love,” which is the intent or purpose of this blog.
My name is Fr. Jeff Allan. I am a Catholic priest who was ordained on June 7th, 2014 at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Detroit, MI by Archbishop Allen Vigneron. Currently, I serve as the associate pastor at Holy Trinity Parish in Port Huron, MI (U.S.A).
Specifically, the intent to “speak the truth with love” is to educate and inspire in the area of adult faith formation and catechesis from a Catholic perspective in parish life and apply it to current events. Feel free to read and comment. My hope is that you not only enjoy reading this blog but be challenged to speak the truth with love to those you encounter in your daily life. May Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom, be praised, and may his mother, Mary and his Bride, The Catholic Church be honored. Amen, and God bless you!
“Speaking the truth in love” – Eph. 4:15

*Note: I would like to thank Dr. Edward Peters (or here, here, or here) a Latin professor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI, who aided me in the Latin translation of the opening phrase. In addition, I would also like to honor his son, Thomas, who had a tragic diving accident back in mid – 2013 . Thomas inspired me to write my blog before and after his accident occurred. He is well known for his blog, the “American Papist,” and for the excellent work he has done through CatholicVote.org. May we continue to pray for Thomas, his recovery, and for his loving and supportive wife, Natalie.
